Personality:
Augustus is a man that you’ll always see smirking, unless he’s working during the Games, that is. He is a man that likes to be in complete control, being able to make things perfect to suit the perfectionist inside of him. If he isn’t stressing over the Games then there’s a high probability he’ll be flirting with whatever woman fancies his eye at that particular moment.
Character background:
Augustus was fortunate to be born into wealth and to a family in the Capitol rather than a district. Not very long after the birth of Augustus came his younger, fraternal twin brother, Alistair. The twin brothers had a rather normal childhood.
When the two of them reached the ripe age of eighteen and had just graduated school, Alistair went straight to the Peacekeeper academy in District 2 while Augustus stayed at their parents’ elegant home for a few years, being lazy and completely unaware with what he wanted to do with his life. He thought that not working and going to clubs and bars to pick up women suited him just fine.
When the Rebellion happened when he was twenty-three and thought nothing of it until his twin was in the Capitol’s troops and perished whilst out in District 13. This was all Augustus needed to develop hatred for the districts. When people of the Capitol found out about the Hunger Games, the now only child of the Eckhart family wanted to do anything he could to aid the Games, his belief that the districts deserved the Games. He served as a Gamemaker until the fifth annual Hunger Games where he became the Head Gamemaker for his determination, commitment and ideas to keep the Games entertaining.
